The success of the Croix de Fer is due to its Reynolds 725 frame and its greater than ever adaptability.
We've reduced the gear ratio significantly, incorporating Shimano's latest GRX 11-speed gearset. The RX600 chainset lowers the gear ratio with 46/30T chainrings while retaining the 11-34T cassette, making the Croix perform better when the road - or trail - turns uphill.
The ability to fit a 45mm rear tire and a 50mm front tire on the supplied 700c rims increases the Cross's off-road capabilities - and it doesn't stop there. If you want to experiment with 650B wheels, you can mount a 44mm rear tire and a 50mm front tire.
The bike is equipped with Shimano 105 shifters and always reliable Spyre-C mechanical disc brakes that provide stopping power.
Capable on all terrains and ready to carry the load, the Croix de Fer remains the benchmark more than ten years later.
